George MOAD

I am very sorry to hear of George's passing. Mr. Moad had a big personality and I always enjoyed our lively conversations when I saw him for his eye exams. Sending my deepest condolences to his friends and family.

George will be sorely missed. Long phone conversations and dinners were always an adventure with George. They were lively, sometimes frustrating but always such a pleasure. His love, dedication and respect of my Dad were reciprocated and their get together's always memorable, laughter, disagreements and possibly some alcohol were always involved! I met George when 3M acquired his advertising company and we worked together for 3 years; It was several years after we both left that we got together again and spent some fascinating times having lunch at the Albany Club or at some chic restaurant he had discovered with the diverse group of personalities he was able to gather around him.
I will miss his friendship and that fiendish twinkle he got in his eye when he was going to launch a controversial subject into the conversation. ...

So very sad to learn of George's passing. Heaven has gained another spectacular soul and the earth is left with less laughter and generosity. Peace be with you.

I'm saddened to hear about Mr. Moad's passing. He was a very good friend of the families and in particular my Mother who also recently passed. At my Mother's parties, the two of them spent much time ranting and raving (mostly with powerful humour) about politics, animals, and various social injustices. My condolences to Louise and their families. I met George and Louise as they were members of the Cross Country Tracking Club for quite a few years . They came tracking at my classes on Markham Road and McNicoll in the hydro fields. George always had amazing stories to tell while we walked behind Louise tracking Betty, and his stories were always very interesting of his younger days.
