I have such fond memories of George. I worked with him at the Huntington, WV newspaper for several years and covered several of the MU games at the Field House with George and the other sports writers. Also bowled on a team with him and his wife, Betty. My deepest condolences goes out to Betty and his children. I remember them when they were so small and they brought them to the Spot Bowling alley. Such precious memories of a find, kind man named George Rorrer. I am truly sad to hear this...

My condolences to the Rorrer family. George was an outstanding sportswriter, dedicated father and a community leader. I have many fond memories of him when he coached at GRC Baseball and his support of JHS baseball with his sons.

One of the great local journalists. I remember covering the Louisville Redbirds with George back in the 90's. A true professional in every way that will be missed.
