Dear Family, George, who I knew in the Navy as Smitty, was my dear friend. We visited he and Dine in Reidsville when they lived in a mobel home. We visited them in Greensboro. They visited us in Anderson. George came to our home in Spartanburg. He was my boss in the Navy. We were on the Oriskany together. He was one of the best friends I made while in the Navy.
