Not sure what to say?

George was one of a kind and I loved him dearly. I loved when he would call me and say "don't you think it's time for a date?" So sad about his passing but know he his joking with the angels! God Bless You George!

Our family was saddened to hear of George's passing. He was a friend of my Mom, Frankie, when she lived in Florida. I think she even came to visit him in Minnesota. George came to Ohio around Thanksgiving time once to visit at our home.We continued to keep in touch with George after my Mom's passing. We always thought highly of him & thought he was a fun person to be around...especially with his stories. Please accept our sincere sympathy...

George will forever be a part of myself and my families memories of Pelican Lake, the images of him zipping by in his boat on a trip to the island will truly live on. To this day the strong "handshake" that he used...will be remembered & missed. Thanks for adding to our memories George.

We were all saddened to hear the news that Uncle George had passed. There are many special memories of times spent up at Pelican Lake (most recently a 4th of July gathering) with family, friends, and visits with Uncle George. He always had time to share with young and old alike...his "tricks" (though well worn), would always amaze. Uncle George's memory will live on through the many wonderful stories we'll tell!
Our thoughts and prayers are with George's family...

I first met Capt. George when I was about 13 and an explorer with Richfield Fire. I will alway remember him chewing his cigar and squeezing your hand very tight when he would shake your hand. He could still do it when he was in his 90's. He was an inspiration. I will miss you Capt. George.
From a retired Richfield firefighter and past Chief.

'GRUMPY' you will be missed, we love you, Mike, Renee, Nadene and Jared Woskie

He has responded to his Final Call. Rest well, job well done.
Lt. Ryan Pridgeon
Clearwater Fire Department

May his soul always shine brightly to lead the way of those who will follow him.

Our sympathies go out to you and your family
