Not sure what to say?

Mr. Eakle & Family, I learned of your dear Jean's passing only yesterday (3/2/13). I had no idea she had been ill. One of our dear friends from FBC told me and I was so very saddened. You, Jean and I use to attend many of the same funerals and that's how we re-established our friendship from many, many years ago. I so adored her and enjoyed talking with you both. My sympathy to you and your entire family. Please know that had I known, I would have certainly been at her service.

Dear Al, Jon and Jennifer:

It has been a long time, but we still remember you all and especially how welcomed we felt at First Baptist by your family when we first started going there. You all are still very special to us and please know that we are thinking of you all at this time. May God grant each of you comfort and peace through this difficult time. Jean was a very special lady. God bless all of you. Ron and Shelba Johnson, Durham, N. C.

There was only one Jean. What a gem. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. Her love for her Lord was the first love and then her family. She lived each day exemplifying the values she held dear. She taught us all to be better human beings. I loved her so much and shall always think of her calling Jon home as we leaned talking on the fence 42 years ago. Heaven is shining a little brighter. Our love and thoughts to you all.

Diane Church

Dear Al and Family, What a beautiful service today. My grandmother always told me to "Live so that when you are gone; it will have mattered". As I looked around in that packed church today I was very clear that Jean mattered to a great many people. You and Jean have always been so special to me and such wonderful neighbors. I can't tell you how much I will miss her. Remember we are right across the road if you EVER need anything. We love you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate Jean's life today. She touched many lives, including ours.

Al, we are so sorry and sad to hear of Jean's passing. Mom just told us last night, as I was out of town for part of the weekend. You know, the two of you have always been an inspiration to both Tammy and myself. Since I was little, both your dedication to serving the Lord and your church family, has always been an inspiration to all who have come in contact with you two. We can only imagine, the jubilant celebration that must be occurring on the streets of Glory and how much brighter...
