Gerald Lee Cothran, 67, of Deer Park, TX passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018. He was born in Pasadena, TX on August 20, 1951 to Bonnie and Max Cothran. He was married to Brenda Cothran for 36 lucky years. "G" had a career in industrial sealing products. His family created "Ameraflex Rubber and Gaskets" which continues to be a thriving business today. He was a member of Deer Park Rotary, Deer Park Chamber of Commerce and International Sealing Distribution Association. He was also an active member of Deer Park United Methodist Church. "G" loved his family, the 2017 World Series Champions, the Houston Astros, photography, picking on a guitar and was a mentor to many in his community.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; children, Laura and Andrew; parents, Max and Bonnie; brothers, Lynn and wife Carla, Cody and wife Roni; mother-in-law, Wanda Duncan; sister-in-law, Jenifer Strickland and husband Lynn. "Uncle Gerald" deeply cared for his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who felt like family.

"G's" Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 2:00pm at Deer Park United Methodist Church, 1300 E. 13th St., Deer Park, TX 77536.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Deer Park United Methodist Church or the Deer Park Education Foundation.
