My condolences to Mrs. Lattin, Tom, Jim and Maryanne. As I have often mentioned to Tom who was a classmate and baseball and basketball teammate from Little League, CYO, through high school and into Cornell. We had an idyllic childhood growing up in Ithaca, NY in the 1950's. Much of that was due do Gerry Lattin and my father coaching us and since they were Cornell men, taking us to Cornell sporting events where we were mascots, cheerleaders and in the band. Dean - You were a friend and a life - long mentor to so many of us. I don't know where I would be today if I didn't have the blessing of meeting you and your bride, Jean. You were inspiration, Dean … You set an example on so many levels. You were a family man, a purposeful leader, educator and innovator – you married Jean and you raised 3 brilliant and kind children – Tom, Jim and Maryann … You made an enormous and beautiful contribution to this world.
