Howdy was my father's (Larry Nailon) best friend since childhood. They followed the love of racing together. Winning 2 Supermodified Championship 1964 & 1966 out at the old Oklahoma City Fairgrounds with driver Evard Humphrey. Great Memories for sure!!! Prayers sent to all of his family

I was fortunate to be able to drive for the "Willow Springs Motorworks" in the mid-70's. Howdy was one of the three members of the race team owners. I will never forget his smile and stories. He always made sure we had garbage can pizza when then race car was finished. I owe a lot of my racing career to him as he and the team hired to me drive their car very successfully. I will forever be indebted.

We enjoyed Howdy and his stories. He would come in smiling, and couldn't wait to share his latest adventure with his grandchildren. Our deepest condolences for Howdy's family and friends.
