Geraldine M. Porter, 98 of Austintown died early Monday morning, June 3, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown. Geraldine was born December 18, 1925 in Richwood, WV, a daughter of the late Clem and Esther (Gibson) Donelson.
She graduated from The Rayen High School and had worked for 33 years as an inspector for Packard Electric, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Austintown Eagles and the Ladies’ Auxilliary of the VFW.
Geraldine leaves her daughter, Sharley Porter of Deltona, FL; a son, John “Jack” Porter of Canfield; a grandson, Eric Porter; and a great grandson, Eric. Besides her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her companion of 30 years, John “Jack” Wayland; a grandson, Matthew Porter; her siblings, Bert, Robert, Frank, Glendene, Carol, and Josephine.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 11th from noon until 12:45 pm, at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm
