Gerda Taranow Ph.D.

New London - Gerda Taranow, PhD, 84, of Pequot Ave., New London, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Savina Taranow. Miss Taranov was employed for more than 30 years as a professor of English literature at Connecticut College in New London.

Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London, is assisting with burial services to be held in the West Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton, N.J.
