I knew her as Gertie. As a young man starting his career at Alcoa Building Products Gert went out of her way to guide me and mentor me as I tried to learn the ropes. In later years I was able to spend time with Gert at ABP gatherings. I have nothing but fond memories of Gertie, she will be missed by all that knew her.

Gert and Jim were such a fun-loving and carefree couple; such good company. They really enjoyed life and all it had to offer! So many of us will feel an emptiness now that they are both gone. Gert was a wonderful co-worker and made any retiree event a success with her presence. I am happy to have known them both and will miss their friendly and smiling faces.
