Not sure what to say?

With great sorrow I just found out about Gianni's passing. I had known him since I was 13. My dad, who was managing a hotel in Capri, Italy, had hired him right out of culinary school. He was always laughing and joking and a great chef already then.
We continued our friendship from Italy to Bermuda and then to NY. We saw him several times when passing thru Baltimore and he had never changed from being a sincere friend and a great chef.

We shall miss his laughter and his great food...

Baltimore

I am truly saddened by the news of Giovanni’s passing. Giovanni’s contribution to the upscale culinary significance of Little Italy dining is undeniable. As such, he truly influenced the community of Little Italy in a tremendous and positive way. I will remember him as always laughing and happy. He treated my family as his special friends and for that I am grateful. My sincere sympathies go out to his family and friends. He will be profoundly missed.

May the Holy Family give you Giovanni , Eternal Rest and Peace for eternity - Baltimore and the world lost a very kind Man .

I'm so sorry to hear of Giovanni's passing. My thoughts are with all of you. I wish I could be there and will continue thinking of all of you.

Miss you all,
Love Roni Harrison

My condolences to Alberto and the Rigato Family. The first time I ever tasted zabaione was at Capriccio's. It was the best!! Giovanni would always give me some when I would stop by to visit my mom or sister when they worked in the kitchen.I went by often. He was always kind to me. May he rest in peace and may the God who grants that peace comfort you at this time.

You will be missed....loved telling jokes over the phone....Rosanna
