Glen L. Cash STAUNTON

Glen Logan Cash, 76, widower of Lydia Frances (Piner) Cash, of Mineola Street, died on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at his residence.

He was born on December 10, 1933, in Staunton, a son of the late Raymond and Harriett (Smith) Cash.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Cash was owner of G. L. Cash Plumbing and Heating.

He was a member of Heavens Golden Gates Church.

In addition to his wife, who preceded him in death on March 5, 2008, he was also preceded in death by a brother, John C. Cash; and a sister, Barbara Garland.

Family members include a son, Ronnie Cash of Staunton; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Roscoe Griffin of Staunton; four stepsons, Johnny Clifton, Steven Clifton, Gary Clifton and his wife, Janet, all of Staunton, and Ricky and Pam Clifton of New Hope; a stepdaughter, Sandra and Michael Smalley of Illinois; a brother, Bobby Cash of Staunton; four grandchildren, Scottie and Danny Cash, John and Allen Griffiin; four great- grandchildren, Brandon and Clair Griffin and Damon and Destiny Cash; step-grandchildren, David W. and Jamie N. Roadcap, Dawn M., Megan A., Derek L., Colby M., Ryan and Jennifer Clifton, Gary Clifton Jr., Justin and Casey Clifton; and a very special friend, Elsie Cash.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2010, at the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Reverend Golden Clark. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Ricky Clifton, Scottie Cash, Danny Cash, Johnny Clifton, Gary Clifton, and Ronald Gibson.

The family will receive friends from 7:30 until 9 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2010, at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
