Not sure what to say?

It was a privilege to play under this amazing conductor as a student at Eastman. Such a nice man. I never forgot him.

Can't believe I didn't learn of Gustav's passing until now, and it is truly a sad loss for all who knew him. A fabulous conductor, teacher, and caring person, Gustav gave me the chance to perform under his baton for a few years with the Bridgeport Symphony. His clear, insightful, and energetic conducting always brought out the best in all us.

Gustav, Thanks for all your good work.

My deepest condolences to the Meier family. Gusti was one-of-a-kind and will be sorely missed.

I remember Gustav with great affection. When he conducted the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, he was gracious, charming, a brilliant musician and a caring person. We will miss him greatly.
