Not sure what to say?

Hal Blaine took the time to hand type letters to me as a kid and it inspired me in many ways. Hal was the ultimate session drummer. He was the hitmaker. He could even make a mistake into a classic beat. Rest In Peace Hal Blaine. You were the best.

I had the pleasure and honor of producing the Hal Blaine Day in Hal's native Holyoke. We performed 7 songs with him, some he hadn't played in over 20 years. He never missed a beat and carried the show between songs with great stories about each one. Such stature and class, a rare combination. I will cherish our friendship and the many conversations we had since that day...and because his great drumming is heard round the world everyday, he will always be with us. Through his music I became...

I had the privilege of working with Hal in the late 90s and I will always be grateful for the experience. Rest In Peace Hal Blaine! You will be missed.
