Not sure what to say?

God bless you sir for your service. Our children sleep safely today in freedom because of what you and the others did so long ago.

I read his autobiography shortly after it came out and was amazed by his bravery, determination and thoughtfulness for other's in the midst of battle. Harold was everything that one thinks of when the term Greatest Generation is proffered.
He and many men and women like him make it possible for all of us in this great Country to enjoy all of the freedoms that too many take for granted.
Rest In Peace, Dr. Baumgarten.

Thank you for everything

Thank you for all you did for your country and humanity. I wish I had gotten a chance to meet Hal in life. Both of my grandfathers served in the Army and Navy during WW2 as well, so this generation has always interested me as my family had many of the same experiences. My condolences to the family on losing a great man. May we keep the memories of this generation alive.

I truly hope that the members of Dr. Harold Baumgarten's family understand the level of gratitude, and inspiration, that their courageous patriarch still elicits to this day. May we never forget the unfathomable sacrifices that he made to fight tyranny, and preserve freedom.

Grande hal queria ter lutado ao seu lado

Thank you Dr. Baumgarten for all that you gave. I purchased Dr. Baumgarten's book in 2013. I was very impressed by his story and spoke with him by phone to thank him. I also requested if he would be willing to sign my copy of the book. Which he did. I am very proud to have the book with his signature in it. Rest in Peace dear Sir.

As I was ordering nis book, I found out f the passing of Mr Baumgarten. Respect for you, R.I.P.

Thank you Hal for all that you gave. Your interviews shared much to those of us who can barely understand what you and your fellow soldiers lived through. Your words have always touched me. God Bless.
