I have had many great conversations with Dr. Mahan at The Compleat Naturalist, and I always enjoyed it when they set up shop at an Association of Southeastern Biologists annual meeting. I am so glad he and Laura moved to western NC! My heart goes out to Laura and his family on his loss. He will be greatly missed.
