Although we lost touch over the last several years, Grandma Verootis always had a place in my heart as she was my only connection to that side of the family after our move to Texas. She always made time for us when we were in town and she was nothing but welcoming.

Granny, you will be truly missed! If anyone knew Granny, she was the most hard working and frugal individual that I have ever met. I remember all of the holiday dinners that she and Grandpa would host and she never sat for one moment to enjoy it. She made sure that everyone was fed before she would sit down and eat herself.
