Not sure what to say?

Dear Holly and Ed--
We are Dave and Nan, your cruise-mates on the Alaska cruise last year. We enjoyed hearing all of your stories about your sons, during our time together. We know how proud you were of Heath. Tonight, I went to the computer to check the NFL draft results for Heath. Instead I discovered, with a heavy heart, newspaper articles of his death. Dave and I want to send you our deepest sympathy, and we hope that you will treasure the great times that you and he had.

I did not know Heath, He seem to have been a God sent young man!! Blessing to you and your familey!! Always remember that Jesus loves you!!!!!

Mr. and Mrs. Benedict and Brent: As you know, I knew Heath as both a student and as a fine young man outside the classroom. I once wrote to him that he was the consummate gentleman. He will always be that.
Please know that Heath will be forever part of all of our lives. God Bless Heath! May you find comfort in his legacy of kindness and thoughfulness towards others.

Sincerely,

Norman E. Masters, jr.
Professor of Business Administration
Newberry College

I did not know Heath personally but was lucky enough to hear how great he was both on and off the field through a mutual friend. My thoughts and prayers are with Heath's family and friends. I truly believe he touched far more people then can be imagined. God Bless.

To the Benedict Family

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We had the pleasure of meeting Heath on a few occasions and watching this fine athlete play footbal at Newberry. Our son is also a member of the Newberry O-Line and will forever be touched by the friendship and kindness of Heath. He was so proud of Heath and his accomplishments and talked about him all the time. Please know your son was a fine young man and was loved by all.

We all share your pain...

Our Deepest sympathy Goes Out To The Benedict Family. Heath Was A Treasure To All Who Knew Him. When You Were Having A Bad Day He Could Always Make You Smile.
