We lost a great treasure in my Uncle’s sister - Col. Helen Mackey. My uncle was so proud of his sister’s service, as are my family who have two Army veterans of the Iraq war.
Col. Mackey was a battle tested veteran who spoke little of the horrors she witnessed in Korea and Vietnam. She was always smiling as you can see in the picture. She was a shining example of service.
