Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors - McDonough Obituary

Her daughters said that she was a true "Lady", and that cleanliness should be her middle name. There is a place for everything and everything was in its place. Helen was an active member at Bethany Baptist Church. She retired from the accounting department with Sears then immediately went back to work with "Wicks and Sticks" as the manager and was employed for another 10 years. Most important to her was her family, and they learned the importance of family and to always express love for one another by watching the marriage of 53 years with her husband Edwin, who passed away in 2008.

Helen L. Masters, age 80, of Stockbridge, GA died Tuesday, May 24, 2016. She was born in Dothan, AL to the late Ralph Lamar and Rosa Lee Chandler North. She was preceded in death by her brother Benny North.

Mrs. Masters is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Lynn Masters and Sloane L. Jinks, both of Jackson, GA; siblings, Janice Faye Escoe, Flowery Branch, GA and Butch North, Lake Park, GA.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Al O'Quinn officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 6:oo pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Not sure what to say?

Thank you for the opportunity to have cared for Helen. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Rhonda and Sloan: I am so sorry and saddened to hear of your mom's passing. I have the fondest memories of her, your dad, and of growing up with you both as dear friends. I loved your parents...in those days, it really took a village of good people like your parents to keep all us neiborhood children on the right path. Helen was the epitome of a "steel magnolia." She had a sweet heart, but she could be tough when she needed to be. We Pruitt's mourn your loss, and you both are...

Rhonda and Sloan and family, So very sorry for your loss. Your mother was a special lady. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. May your precious memories bring you peace, comfort and healing.

Sloane, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. Prayers of comfort, strength and peace are headed your way!

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.

Sloane,

I am sorry that your family is dealing with this loss. We are thinking of you and your family. Prayers for comfort.
