Helen Steffes

loved Helen, I had the privilege of coaching with Helen for two years with my daughters team in Harper Woods. She could keep up with everyone of the girls and myself. Her knowledge of the game and her history of the game was amazing. She also assisted me while I coached the Notre Dame high school freshmen team. All of the kids admired her and her knowledge of the game. Helen may you rest in peace with God's team, show them how to play to win.

To Helen's family, I'm sorry for your loss. Helen was an inspiration to me and I enjoyed the time on and off the field when I played for her. She might have been short in stature but was a giant in character. Maybe she'll whip the angels in a softball game up there. Take care.

I often remember all the fun times my parents, brother, sister and I shared with Helen's amazing family in Harper Woods many years ago. She and Uncle Don (my godfather) can be together now forever! I hope she meets up with Ed and Mary Jane because they would love to see her!
