Becker-Keysor Funeral Home - Red Creek Obituary

Henry C. Allen, Jr., 73, of Red Creek, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 08, 2019. Henry (Hank) was born in Rochester, son of the late Henry C. Allen, Sr. and the late Patricia Pointon Allen. He graduated from Leavenworth High School in Wolcott and from Cayuga Community College in Auburn with an Associate’s degree. He enlisted in the Navy and was a Vietnam veteran, serving on aircraft carriers to the Mediterranean and Vietnam. Following the Navy, he became a union journeyman electrician for IBEW Local 43 based out of Clay, NY. He deeply loved God, his church, his family, his work and spending time outdoors including hunting and fishing.


He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Charlan Greene Allen, daughters Kimberly (William) Hines of Casco, ME and Nichole Allen of Auburn, son Shane (Kimberly) Allen of Sterling, granddaughters Graciana and Gloria Allen, brother Gary (Sherry) Allen of Metairie, LA, sisters Cathy (Jim) Coccia of Tampa, FL, Patricia (Norm) Bergeson of Rochester and Jeannie Lee of White Bluff, TN, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents, Hank is predeceased by his brother Wayne Allen.


Calling hours will be Saturday, October 12th from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm at Lighthouse Community Fellowship, 3483 NY-89, South Butler, NY 13154, followed by funeral service at 12:30 pm and reception at 1:30 pm.  Burial will follow at Martville Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of the Becker-Keysor Funeral Home, Red Creek, NY. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make contributions may do so to in his memory to Lighthouse Community Fellowship.

So sorry for the loss of one great individual. I lived/worked with Hank in the late 90's.
I will never forget his infectious smile and kindness. You will be missed. I will see you on the 'next big one'.
