Not sure what to say?

Dear Family of Henry Sandbank. I am about to reprint a 600 page book on photographers. first published in 2020. In it I have used the image of the frames half submerged in milk. In one of the frames is the reflection of a woman in a pink and white floral dress. From memory back in 1992, Henry said this was his daughter 'Laura'. Could one of the family please verify this. My email is [email protected]

I am trying to reach a member of Henry Sandbank;s family. I interviewed and photographed him for a book In 1992. I need to verify some detains of a photograph I am reproducing Peter Adams Sydney, Australia

To the Sandbank Family,

I can't tell you enough what a privilege it was to have known and worked with Henry. He taught me to do things the right way.The years we worked up Hawthorne are still some of the best times of my career and will always hold a special memory. Although we didn't keep in close contact over the past years, I've always considered Henry as a friend and I will keep the memory of Henry with me.

Hi Sandbank Family.
My condolences. I don't know what to say. I did know Henry just a bit. But that what he shared with me, still hits me everytime I think about him. For me he was a rolemodel of someone with the strong believe in a greater future. Knowing the history from where he came from and how he succeeded in what what he did, is and always will be the American dream come true! An inspiring personality that will always be remembered.

Kenny, Laura,

My condolences. I didn't spend that much time with your dad in the day, but he was always friendly and charming. The work he had up on the walls established a very high baseline for what I thought contemporary photography could do. Being in the image side of the ad business, that influence lives on. My best to both of you.

Henry was the best. A meticulous craftsman, a brilliant thinker and an incredible creative problem-solver. He loved to work and he loved to laugh, and I am so very fortunate to have done both with him all those years ago. Henry, may you rest in peace. And to Judy and the rest of Henry's family, my sincerest condolences.

What a great man. I remember the wonderful studio in the woods (well, to a NY'er like me it was really rustic). Henry the perfectionist having perfect control of the environment and all of us around him:) I also remember one of the family's dogs...Henry warned us, "Whatever you do, don't say s-q-u-i-r-r-e-l". Of course we did. Dog went berserk. Much love, and my condolences to the Sandbank family.

so sorry to hear about henry. he was a giant in our field. when i look back at the ads he created & collaborated on i had forgotten how much of the iconic work at that period he had been involved in. i remember laura telling me that while riding with her father in the car leaving the city he would pick out people and say there's one! there's another one! laura would say 'another one what'? henry said- you can always tell photo assistants by the way they dress!
i must have been one of...

"Henry was one in a million. A genius. A gentleman. A friend.
My heart felt condolences to his wife Judy and their children. He will be sorely missed. Jay Taub"
