Not sure what to say?

We were saddened to hear that Henry passed away. We always looked forward to seeing you both when you vacationed at your lovely beach home.

My condolences for your personal and our communities loss. Henry was a very good Architect having placed his stamp of approval on many buildings throughout the Commonwealth. I will remember Henry most for his forthrightness, once describing a small addition to a local building by our firm as being a "bump on a pickle". With Henry's help our little addition eventually proceeded as designed and received favorable comments from him once completed. Thank you again Henry for your service...

Mrs. Shriver, I am sorry for your loss. In the 1960's I worked for Shriver and Holland for about eight years as a draftsman. I had minimal experience when I went there. Both Mr. Shriver and Mr. Holland taught me the right way to do many things. I have always told people that I went to "S & H tech" where I received a good education. I went on to become a registered Architect. I owe my professional education and career to your husband. I know that you miss him and I will too.

Dear Aunt Lois and Family,

Henry was a kind, energetic, and above all thoughtful soul who easily left a positive impact where-ever he went. His presence will be missed. His tribute is all of you.

I remember fishing with Mr. Shriver, Ken and Matt in Oregon Inlet and spending time with the family on vacation in Kitty Hawk. He was a kind and generous man and the gold standard for Architecture in this area, he will be missed.

The Shriver family is in our thoughts and prayers in your time of loss. Henry was a great man - I was fortunate to work with Henry at Shriver and Holland Associates for many years and had the privelege to get to know Henry and family over the years. He will be missed. I only hope your many happy memories will bring you some comfort at this time of grief.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Matt, I am sorry for your loss. Doug Smith

Mr. Shriver was one of the kindest most energetic men I have ever met. He is a testament to how one should finish strong in life whether in work, family, or serving God. I will never forget him. I will miss him dearly.
