Herbert ‘Herb’ “Smurf” Leonard, age 48 years, of Slidell, LA, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 31, 2021. Beloved father of Paris Leonard. Son of the late James Leonard Sr. and Bennie Ruth Jones Leonard. Brother of Angelica Leonard, Michell Leonard and the late Ruth Jones.
A native of New Orleans. He was a graduate of Warren Easton High School, where he was a Drum Major in the band. He was formerly employed by the House of Bultman Funeral Home, Security Industrial Funeral Home Corp in New Orleans., Radio Shack and Verizon. He then moved to Slidell in 2004, when he established his company franchise, B.P. Cleaning Company. He was a member Endemyion and former member of Zulu.
Due to the Covid-19, a Celebration of his life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
