HOLLIS FRANKS

Not sure what to say?

From all the community at FordFE.com, Hollis is sorely missed. He was a walking encyclopedia on the 63/63-1/2 Ford Galaxies, the Ford FE engine and others, and the T85-OD transmission, as well as many other facets of Ford vehicles and powertrains. We could always count on Hollis to chime in with the correct answer. Pretty much, when Hollis said it, we all just went, "Well, there it is. Debate over." A really fine man for us, for his family and for his country. Thank you for the...

I worked with Hollis at County Fire for a while back in the 70's. Such a great guy. Rest in Peace brother.

RIP 1SG (Ret) Hollis Franks. Thanks for your time and being my friend since 2001. I thank God that I got to see you before you went with Jesus to Heaven, probably not in your '63 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500XL. You've made an impression in my life. My condolences to Mary and the kids.

RIP Hollis! My deepest condolences to your family. Kandi Adams, Livermore High School Class of 1964

My condolences to Hollis' wife and family. They have lost a truely remarkable man. I served with Hollis for 7 years in the Army Reserve at Camp Parks beginning in 2001. He was always willing to help out. He will be missed.

Although we only met a few times in person through car shows, I considered Hollis a friend. My best to the family in this tough time, I so wish it wasn't his time to go. He was a patriot, a hero, and a humble gentleman.

Hollis was my neighbor for a number of years, a good, gracious and humble man who made a difference in many people's lives. He will be sorely missed.

I never met Mr. Hollis in person but I got to know him by email and thru the Ford FE Forum. He had so much knowledge about the old Galaxies and Ford engines, etc. that we both loved and he gladly shared any information that would help me on my car projects. I talked with him several times on the phone and I enjoyed every conversation. My daddy was awarded the Silver Star Medal as a Marine in Vietnam so I respected Mr. Hollis so much for his service to our country. I will sure miss talking...

I never knew Hollis but we both visited the same automotive forum. I remember him posting once about the wild fires he was fighting a few years ago and how he impressed me as a man. His commitment to people he didn't know said volumes about the man. God bless Hollis, rest in peace (except when you are a puttin the pedal to the metal). You are truly someone others should try to emulate.
