Not sure what to say?

I remember coming to P.S 15 School in 1972 as a 5th grader. I was terrified. Mr Smith gave me a warm smile that let me know that everything was going to be alright. I knew then that I could come to him at any time If ever I had a problem. I'm glad that God put him in our lives. He had an infectious heart.

It was a pleasure to have had Mr. Smith as my gym teacher. He was a gift to the children of Jersey City. My condolences to the Smith family. Thank you for sharing this great man of God.

A true giant, who took me under his wings and made a significant difference in my life as a coach, teacher, administrator and man! A life to celebrate! God Bless the family.

My heartfelt condolences to you Florazell, Kendra and family. Hosea left a positive impact on my life. Thank you guys for unselfishly sharing him with me and the many others he touched.

My deepest condolences to the Smith family:

I had the pleasure of meeting Coach Smith during my running days at LHS. Mr. Smith always had words of encouragement and comported himself in a manner I admired and respected. I thank God our paths crossed and the impression he left behind. Peace and grace to the family.

I extend my deepest condolences to the Smith family; Mr. Smith was truly a great educator and motivator. I will never forget him as a gym teacher at P.S. 15 in his early years. The prayers of the Raines family are with you as you mourn the loss of this great man. May God bless and keep you.

To one of the greatest men I know and who was truly a huge influence in my life as a young girl on the Ferris track team. His words of encouragement shaped and added to the woman I am today. Thank you so much Coach Smith. And Mrs. Smith, I send my love and prayers to you and Kendra for your great loss of a loving husband, father and grandfather. Love Always, Lavon Morris-Grant

A legend in my community for decades really going to miss him.
