Foglesong Funeral Home Obituary

Howard William Brewer Jr., 70, of Middleport, OH, went to be home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, after complications of pneumonia on November 27, 2021, in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH.


He was born June 3, 1951, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late Howard William Brewer Jr and Margaret Ellen (Lieving) Brewer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sister, Carol Manuel.


He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and enjoyed farming, shooting and reloading ammunition. He attended the Wesleyan Bible Holiness Church of Middleport, OH. He was a retired coal miner with 30 years of service. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Union.


He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn Sue (Warth) Brewer; sons, Howard Matthew and Terry Mark Brewer both of Middleport, OH; daughter, Crystal Kay (Donnie) Myers of Southside, WV; sisters, Diana (Stephen) Adams of Vinton, OH and Martha (Tom) Roush of Point Pleasant, WV; grandchildren, Trea Myers, Alyssa (Charles) Hill and Payton Brewer; great grandchild, “Iffie” Hill; several nieces and nephews.


Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with the Rev. Tom Zimmerman and the Rev. Matt Phoenix officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Baptist Church Cemetery, New Haven, WV. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
