Howard Millman Hoffman

Heaven gained another Marine to guard their streets when Col. Howard Millman Hoffman, age 75, checked into his final duty station on May 5, 2018. Howard died peacefully after being in failing health over the last few years.

Howard was born in Millville, NJ to Lewis M. and Sarah Berry Hoffman. He was predeceased by his grandparents, parents and brothers; Howard (also) and Lewis (Wayne). He was also predeceased by his former wife, Jan Carroll. Howard had no children.

Howard is survived by his cousins Susan A. Shropshire, F. Dale Hoffman (Mary), M. Susan Crafts (Peter), Jeanne M. Hayes (Mike), and Carol L. Rose (Joe) and many 2nd and 3rd cousins. Howard is also survived by his dear friend Lisa Hogate. He will be missed by all, including his adoptive families and friends at Appleby's, The Coach Room, and Texas Roadhouse.

Colonel Hoffman had a very prestigious 27 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and was awarded the Purple Heart and many other service medals, ribbons, and commendations. He was a pilot and instructor and published books in the Corp and was widely travelled. He received a Master's Degree from Pepperdine University. He also was a very talented tailor and salesman for Tom James Company after his service and also worked as Vice President of ADCO Financial Mortgage Services.

Saddened to hear of Howards passing. We worked together when we were in high school for A. Jeanne Rihm Interiors. We had more fun at work because we laughed so much. He was a great guy. Prayers for his family, friends and loved ones.
