Dear Alice: My thoughts and prayers are with you and family, it was a privilege to know Hugh both from working with him in the '50's and "the Scottish Connection", he was truly a well respected "professional".

Hugh hired me at Canadian Pacific Railway April 2, 1961. He was a kind man with a great sense of humour. He had many funny CPR stories to tell and I loved his giggle while he told them. I always looked forward to seeing him at the CP Pioneers' meetings and was disappointed when he didn't get to a meeting. He loved to tease. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and I will never forget him. My deepest sympathy goes out to Alice and family at this very difficult time. Barbara Inkster
