Not sure what to say?

Mark and Family,
What a wonderful life and legacy your dad shared with the world. Having grown up around you and your home, I am a better person today for having know "Doc". Simply put, he was a good man...kind, giving and eternally optimistic. I'm sure he is at peace today knowing how much he was loved. I'm sorry for the loss you've experienced in recent times and wish you comfort in the company of family and friends.

I first met Dr. Wood when I was assigned to the 817th Evacuation Hospital, as a junior Lt, in Jan. 1960. During the next ten years we raised our families, and endured two very trying times as Army Med. Corps and Service officers. The years 1965 - 1968, were very trying times for the 817th, as we were on alert for deployment to Viet-Nam. Co. Wood worked tirelesly to ready the unit for it's foreign deployment, which never came about.
Col. Wood was my mentor and we became close friends...

Mary and Family,
What a wonderful tribute to such a wonderful person. Our deepest sympathy to Dr. Wood's wife and family. We have never met Dr.Wood, I worked with Mary in Virginia and she spoke of her very active, loving parents often. God bless , Joyce and Howard Mikytuck

I worked closely with Dr. Wood when he was with the Monroe County Health Department working with the Rochester City School District. He was a credit to his profession and always did his best for the children and families with whom he came in contact. He was known not only for his expertise, dedication and dependability, but also for his quiet sense of humor. He will be missed by so many---

On behalf of the POW/MIA Marathon Team please accept our sincere condolences on his passing. We remember "doc" and his running partner Don McNally, running the first 20 plus miles of the marathon. Then as we passed them by later in the day--there was "doc" and Don standing by the side of the road enjoying ice cream cones. God speed "doc" you finished the race.
Mike Skowronski POW/MIA Marathon Team.

In addition to all of Dr. Wood's accomplishments noted in His obituary, and on a personal note, we will remember Bob as the wonderful Doctor for our five Children, a good neighbor, and a very good friend. We will miss him very much. Our sincere condolences to Carol and all Members of the Wood Family.
Anne, Jack and all Members of the Riley Family.

Carol and family: I remember Dr. Wood as a caring and wonderful pediatrician, although my oldest daughter, Michelle, only was his patient for a short time because he retired from CSH. I believe she was one of his last patients to be seen there. His parting words to me were keep her in the sun at home for her elevated bilirubin and it promptly started raining! However, within the week, she again returned to his office and all was well. Now, at 35 she is a wonderful person with a daughter...

Bob is a true example of the fruits of the Spirit; Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control. We are thankful for persons such as Bob who are true servants of our Lord Jesus Christ. May God give you all strength, during this time of sorrow at the loss of your husband, father, grandfather.
Love and God Bless,
John and Rachel Riccione

Dear Wood Family,

Words are such poor tools to fashion what is in my heart - sadness to hear of Dr. Bob's death, but deep gratitude for the gift of his presence in my life and the lives of so many people through the decades. He was one of a kind - the very best kind - and how grateful I am for the connections shared with Dr. Bob, his family, and my late parents. The world was and is a better place for his presence, has been diminished by his passing, and those who knew and...
