Not sure what to say?

Kid, you were a dear friend. From being roommates at SIU in 1969 all the way til the end, my life was made better by knowing you. It's been a year now and I miss you. Your friend always, Bill Stewart

Ira was a sweet and kind man who was a childhood friend of my brother Bob’s. The Steur’s lived a short distance from us in Jeffrey Manor, on Chicago’s South Side. His sister Gloria used to baby sit me.

He was truly a gentle and kind man
We lived a block away from each other and I was always delighted to talk with him. He will be so missed. I'm so sorry Tracy for your loss.

You were a bright light in a dark world Ira. Your kindness and friendship lifted my spirits.

A great friend to all, I am profoundly saddened by his loss. We met in Chicago many years ago and have dined, laughed and ridden together regularly throughout the years. Rest in peace my dearest friend, you will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace little buddy. One of the best friends you could ever have. You will be missed.

I rode with the Shadow Riders for a few years, and always loved seeing Ira’s smiling face. He was truly one of the kindest, gentlest souls I’ve ever known. May his memory be a blessing.
