Mom,
I find it so hard to write this message to you, so many emotions that are running through me right now....I feel if I write and send it, that means that it's true and you're no longer here with us and sometimes the pain is so unbearable for me to bear but I also know Jesus carries us through these times of grief and heartache. He is our rock and salvation.
Just wanted you to know how much I love you and grateful for the sacrifices you made for me and the rest of your children. You kept your family together after dad died,...how daunting to be a widow with 7 children.....how to feed, house and clothe all of us. We were blessed by a man who was willing to take a chance on you and become a home owner.....and you succeeded. Your strength, courage and faith was displayed in your actions over the years.
I remember when I started playing softball and you were there for all my games and practices.....some called me "momma's girl" but I feel it was you playing both mom and dad, making sure I was OK...and that we had a strong connection.
I've always a hard time in letting go but in learning and having a relationship with our Father in heaven and his promises and plans he has for us, that is what comforts me now.
So, this is not goodbye mom but I'll be seeing you later.
I love you mom,
Your loving daughter,
Lauritzia

Psalms 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years. May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.
