Irene Augustine Baker

Services for Irene Augustine Baker will be Monday, January 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 714 Winn St., Alexandria, with the Father August Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Good Shepherd Funeral Home.

Mrs. Irene Baker, age 81 of Alexandria, died on January 9, 2013 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Walter Augustine and Corine Augustine; her husband: Roland M. Baker Sr. and her son Gordon Baker Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters: Helen Baker (James) and Gilda Baker Edwards; son: Roland Baker Jr.; sisters: Leata Grubbs and Loumarjorie Harris (R. K. Harris); 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. before funeral services.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
