Hi Little One,

I miss you so much. I'm the only left of our little family and wonder what my purpose is. Got to figure out what that is.

In the meantime, I miss you.

Hi Little One,

Missed you, Dad, and Joyce this Christmas but I felt you were all there. It's overwhelming how much I miss you. I'm the only left and I wonder what my purpose is, can't figure it out.

Hi Little Mom,

I miss the 3 of you so much, it's kind of overwhelming at times. I wonder why I'm still here. There must be a purpose, don't know what that is yet. But I'll try to figure it out.

Every night you all are in prayers, I think you know that.

I love Joyce, Dad, and you so much.

Hi Mama:

The moon peeks through my BR window, I figure that's Joyce, Dad and you watching over me.

Went to the cemetery, it makes me happy but very sad at the same time. I miss you so much. But then you know that!!

Susan, the girls and I are going for a little while up north. I have to go on business and was not looking forward to it. Then I had the idea to take the angel I bought many years.
for you and I'm taking it along. So you're going with us, Little One. Miss you so much but up north you'll be in the clouds.

Marilyn,
Your Mother was the sweetest lady. I treasured our Finnish connection. I'll always think of her as "my sumpii girl". I enjoyed trying to translate her notes to me (Finnish is a hard language.) I still have the Lord's Prayer that she wrote for me. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ms. Irene was a very special lady to our family. We used to enjoy visiting with her and her fellowship each week at Bethany Pointe and she loved to hear our children sing and watch my daughter dance. We loved hearing her stories of living in Upper Michigan and signing songs very loud while walking to the mailbox to scare the bears and wild animals away. We so enjoyed her company and laughter and I hope that everyone has as many wonderful memories as our family does of our special time with Ms. Irene.

My great Aunt Irene was a special person. Her great nieces on Ida's side have been emailing various stories about her. We all remember her talking about walking to Jenny's home and seeing a bear. Being the brave Finlander she was, she picked up a stick to ward him off. I'm sure that, between her size and stature (tiny!) and the stick, she scared the bear silly. I certainly hope all the Honkala girls are having saunas and laughing together again.

Irene was a very cherished friend when my deceased husband, Harold and I lived in Anderson. Irene had a friendly smile for everyone. My condolences to her remaining family.
