Irene L. Shager

I'm so sorry that we were unable to join with the rest of the Shagers at Aunt Irene's Funeral. What a gal! I so enjoyed the times that my first husband and I would stop by the house and visit them when both Dub and Irene were battling cancer. After Dub's death, one day we brought a pizza over to share with her for lunch. We barely had one piece each, when she announced that she could save the rests and eat it later and in the refrigerator it went. Johanna Shager Hocker

Like my brother, Gil, I remember my Aunt Irene and Dub from all the family reunions we used to have in Meridean. She will be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

We were very sorry to hear of the passing of my Aunt Irene. We did not see her in the past years but remember her and her husband Dub from long past family gatherings in Eau Claire, Meridean and in Madison. She was a very kind person and will be missed by all who knew her.
