Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Directors - Tyler Obituary

Memorial Services for Irvin (Bill) Fiser, Jr., 70, of Flint, Texas will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at The Lifebridge Church, 16393 FM 2493, Tyler, TX 75703 with Rev. Scott Grizzle officiating.

Irvin (Bill) Fiser, Jr. passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, while hospitalized at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas.

Irvin (Bill) Fiser was born on October 19, 1951, in Peoria, Illinois to the late Irvin Edison Fiser, Sr. and June Churchwell Fiser.

Bill was a loving husband married to Connie Sue Orr Fiser for 33 ½ years.  He was a proud father to three sons and grandfather to one granddaughter and one grandson.  He worked as a field service technician in various industries including the medical and photographic fields.  Bill served a brief stent in the U. S. Navy.  Fishing was his favorite activity, he could sit with a lure or bait and hook in the water all day, even if he wasn’t catching any fish.  When Bill needed to destress or just get away for a bit he would go fishing.  He taught his sons to love of fishing as he did.   He loved music and was a talented guitar player, especially on the bass guitar, and he even played the drums some.  Before he and Connie met and married, he wrote a couple of country western songs that he had copyrighted.  As computers grew in popularity and use, he taught himself the ins and outs of how they functioned and could solve any problem or issue that arose. Bill dedicated several years as a volunteer and Executive Officer to teaching, guiding, and encouraging young men and women in military customs and courtesies through the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps, namely Tyler Joint Force Battalion.  He was a member of the American Legion Post #12 in Tyler, Texas.

Irvin (Bill) was preceded in death his parents Irvin Edison Fiser, Sr. and his mother June Churchwell Fiser and numerous aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Sue Orr Fiser of Flint, Texas , sons: Christopher Kyle Fiser of Flint, Texas, Samuel Ethan Fiser of Tyler, Texas, and Gregory Wayne Fiser of Porter, Texas, grandson, Ryker William Fiser of Flint/Tyler, Texas and granddaughter, Celeste Rayne Fiser of Tomball, Texas.

Bill would want everyone to be comfortable so casual attire is welcome.

Please RSVP as there will be a reception following the memorial.
