Not sure what to say?

I can't really believe this. It's been two years since this happened, and I just found out now through looking up the North Central Family Centre online...I was planning a trip home and wanted to visit NCFC..I first met Ivan and Sandy as a fledgling volunteer when I was going to school in Regina. I've always felt bad for not keeping in touch. I can't imagine what NCFC is like without Ivan there. I am so lucky I was able to meet Ivan and get to know him, even if it was just for a short time....

We were sorry to learn of Ivan's sudden death. We send our condolences and remember him and you his family in our thoughts and prayers. We first got to know Ivan when he was a student at Luther College. We later connected again through the North Central Family Centre. He'll be missed.

Jo Jo, Willie - our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Heaven gained a very special angel who will forever live in your hearts. You will feel him each day, guiding you through life, as you continue his legacy of love. I will always remember how excited Jon was when we would see Ivan. They would giggle and tease each other - each and every time. Listening to your dad's words of wisdom that were read at his service will resonate with me forever! Such powerful, compassionate,...

I'll never forget how he said my name...Shauny. I loved it, it put a smile on my face every time. He was so unique in everything he did. His kindness and love will always be remembered.

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Ivan. I first came to know him through the church I attended and through my university classes. He rapidly became someone I was proud to know. I moved to Ontario last year but before I left we had a chance to say good-bye. Little did I know that it would be the last time I would see him/talk to him. I was unaware that he was ill. I send deep condolences to the family at the centre and to his family. He will be greatly missed.

We will miss u very much you helped us from the start and was going to help us start all over again you could work miracles R.I.P

Auntie Petty and her family send their condolences and love to all of you in Canada on the passing of Ivan.May he Rest In Peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Ivan's legacy was simple: Give your life to those in need. "It is said that the average person will be remembered by 5-6 people when they die." Ivan will be remembered by hundreds of people. This speaks highly of how much effort he put into his life to leave an enduring legacy. People don't think much about leaving a legacy and Ivan probably didn't either. He had a calling to be kind, generous and to love mankind and he fulfilled that on a daily basis.

God touched Ivan. God's...

My sincere condolences to to Ivan's family.
