Sad to see the news of J.D.'s passing. He and my dad, James Lovelace,were friends for years. My dad's secretary, Dorothy Gilmore, introduced me to J.D. He was a man of few words but was always wearing a smile and had something funny to say. He built a sunroom on my house in Hiltons VA in the early 1990's. When we made our trip to Lowes to get supplies instead of showing his miliary card to get the veterans discount he would simply show the lady at the register his shiny shoes and say who else...
