Jack was a wonderful neighbor. I didn't like that he smoked but at least we were able to see him and visit. He did and said so many funney things. Baptisim for the kittens born in his window well - checks payable to him. Mowing the lawn with a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Jack was someone I shared many fun times with during and after MEHA meetings. As the person in charge of our 1975 National Educational Conference, he insured the financial success of our local chapter and in gratitude the Caldwell Fund was created in his honor. This has served as a funding source to insure continued educational oportunities for Minnesota's many environmental health professionals.
