JACK CLARK Obituary

Jack A. Clark Jr. formerly of Arlington Heights Jack A. Clark Jr., 80, of Huntley, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 2, 2013 at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington. He was born March 3, 1933, in Palatine, Illinois, the son of John A. and Rosalie (Zelsdorf) Clark. He grew up in Arlington Heights and attended St. James Catholic School and graduated from Arlington High School. He then graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in marketing. Following college he served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. After his military service, he worked at Arlington Federal Savings & Loan as supervisor of the mortgage loan department for 26 years. He was united in marriage to Nancy K. Anderson on November 24, 1967. He later was with First Federal Savings of Des Plaines. Jack went on to be an independent mortgage banker retiring in 2001. In 2003 he and his wife moved to Sun City, Huntley. Jack was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, family was important and he loved playing with his grandson. He was also an avid sports fan, following all of the professional teams in Chicago and well as teams in the Big Ten. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy of Huntley, his son, Kelly John Clark of Rocklin, California, his daughter, Colleen Dawn Murphy of Schaumburg, his grandchildren, Taylor Lynn and Lauren Ashley Clark and Braden Clark Murphy, his sister, Rosemary (late Raymond) Hansen of Lake in The Hills, his brother, Donald (Roberta) Clark of Fort Myers, Florida and his sisters-in-law, Ruth (late Melvin) Anderson of Cary, North Carolina, Jeanne (late Willard) Heilmann of Scottsdale, Arizona and Carla (Paul) Schaefer of Kalamazoo, Michigan and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 8th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be private in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Memorials in Jack's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
