Mr. Cohen made science accessible and fascinating to all of his students, and was a model of integrity, open-mindedness, and decency. I'll never forget his influence. Mort Guiney, EOS 77

Mr. Cohen (I can't think of him any other way) was an excellent teacher and an important influence in my life. He inspired my love for science, biology, and specifically genetics and can take some credit for my career as a scientist. He taught us to be clear and rigorous in our thinking and I always looked forward to his classes. I'm glad to hear he had a long, rich, and fulfilling life. He deserved it! He was also a kind man and I'm sure will be sorely missed by his family and friends. ...

To Mr. Cohen's family: He was a wonderful teacher. I had him first for Biology and later for Advanced Biology. (I graduated in 1981.) I can still picture his classroom and I remember how much he knew and how hard he worked to teach us. I'm glad he lived a long life. My best to your family.
