Not sure what to say?

Dr. Hallstrom was my principal at Monroe Jr. High. I later teased him that my most vivid memory was his voice calling to me down the hallway,"Mr. Hayden, I see you don't have a belt on today. Please get on from my office and leave your quarter on my desk." He was truly a great educator and advocate for children. I also had the great fortune to work with his daughter, Linda Harman, at both Millard North Middle School and Russell Middle School. My sincere condolences.

I was sad to hear of your dad's passing. He literally gave all in his commitment to his school and students as many have noted. But he also had a powerful influence on those who worked for him as well. He was a mentor to all.

Linda,

So sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. Both of your parents were very committed to the best education and successful lives of so many kids in Omaha. Their legacy lives on and a tremendous amount of young people have been very fortunate to have had your dad and mom touch our lives. May your wonderful memories comfort & sustain you.

Mr. Hallstrom was the principal at Mount View when I was a student there. I remember him very well. He and my 4th grade teacher were deciding factors in leading me to a long and satisfying career as an elementary teacher. Thank you Mr. Hallstrom.

I'm so honored to know such an amazing man....he will never be forgotten and is a staple to many. Sending love to the entire Hallstrom family. I will be thinking of you today...

Our sympathies to Jack's family. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Jack was such a model of what an educator should be. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My deepest sympathy to Jack's family. He was such an excellent educator and person. His strong support for drug-free children was inspirational.

Linda:
I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. My prayers go out to you and your family.
