Jack was a close and wonderful friend twice, once as a Cornell classmate and then as a fellow officer, 11th Airborne Division. Haven't seen him since, but will miss him. -Bill Wesson

Mary Ann, Jill and Reed,

So sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I remember him as a very fun, vibrant man. May the great memories help comfort you during this most difficult time.

Hugs and prayers,

Jack was a good friend and mentor to many in a fledgling business that grew to a 3M success story. He was one of the real fun execs to be around and never lost his sense of humor or humility. Paratrooper!! Wow, yea, he was a guy who would jump out of a perfectly good airplane.

Dear Mary Ann - I am so sad to hear about Jack's passing. What a super fun man, positive and smart. I am sure that Bob and Jack are discussing 3M up there and solving all it's problems. We were honored to know you both. Mary Ann Palma

Jack was a great leader who always made my trips to the "head shed" a positive experience. He will remain alive in my 3M memories.

It was an honor to work for Jack at 3M! He was courageous, joyful, and a force of positive energy. I will miss you Jack - you were a very special part of my career at 3M!

He grew a very successful business from a concept in a laboratory, and many of us were able to support our family as a result of...

Jack and I were 3M colleagues and White Bear Lake neighbors. I credit Jack for my career at 3M. As a young, eager member of the new WBL community, I became a candidate for the WBL City Council in the 1960s. Jack agreed to be my campaign manager. I lost the election by 23 votes. If I had won the election, I may have gone on to a career in politics. Fortunately, I lost, and continued with 3M. So, Jack always got the credit for saving my 3M career. Over the years, we both enjoyed telling...
