Peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2018, Jack Woodbury Merrill. Jack served our country in the U.S. Army during W.W.II serving in Germany. He retired as an Executive for Exxon Mobil in the Baltimore Region with 40 years of service. Being a motorcycle enthusiast, Jack rode regularly until his late 80's. In retirement, he became an expert furniture maker and donated hand made toys to the University of Maryland Pediatric Oncology Center in Baltimore. The Cockeysville resident was 90. Beloved husband of Frances Joan (nee Kenealy) Merrill. Devoted father of Thomas W. Merrill, Steven W. Merrill and his wife Betsy, Susan L. Merrill and her husband Tom Faneuff. Grandfather of Max Faneuff, Esme Faneuff, Ted Merrill and Amelia Merrill. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Church of Nativity and Holy Comforter, 419 Cedar Croft Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21212 beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment Private. I just found out about Jack passing. I knew Jack my entire life, and he was someone I always admired and looked up to. He was kind to everyone he knew. I'm really saddened and want to pass along my condolences to the entire family. He was simply a class act. The memories he created along the way, will continue to bring a smile to me.
