I had just been thinking of Jackie and was so sorry to read of her passing. As a young reporter in what then was known as The Blade's women's news department, I found Jackie to be a welcoming presence and always a delight to be around. She will remain among those I remember most fondly from my own days at The Blade.

Jackie and her first husband Alvin were close friends ,and were wonderful people. They were a joy to be with and I will always remember them.

I will always remember Aunt Jackie for her kind heart and infectious smile. Rest in peace....you are with your angels.
