Jacquelyn Marie Jackson entered into eternal rest at her residence on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at the age of 66. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Jackie as she was most affectionately known was a substitute bus driver for the Jefferson Parish School Board, and she retired from Westside Transit Authority in 1992. Devoted mother of Antionette and C’shanti Gaines (Trinica), Brenda Palmer, Torrianda “Tori” Lastie (Rashonda), and America Books (Lloyd). Daughter of the late Roger, Sr. and Rosie Lee Jackson. Grandmother of Monika and Malaiya Johnson, Shawnica Gardner (Tyanna), and Luis Diaz (Maegan). Sister of Charles Sr. (Pamela), Roger Jr., Robert Sr. (Willie), David (Renell), and Ira Jean Jackson whom she loved dearly, and the late Randolph and Carl Jackson Sr. Godmother of Chantrell Franklin (Anthony Jr.). Niece of Saul James, Irene Graves, and Linda Matthews. She was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Lashes Lashay Jackson, whom she loved as a child for 12 ½ years and her grand rabbit of 7 ½ years, Ambrosia Marie Gaines. Jackie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 10:00a.m. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA. To the Family of our dear Sister Jackie I express sincere heartfelt condolences. Such a loving person and true Christian Woman who loved to worship God. Her presence will truly be missed at the Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. May God give you the peace that surpasses all understanding as you go through these trying times. Be Blessed.

To the family of my dear friend Jackie, whom I've known for years, we lost touch with one another over the years. But I can say that Jackie had a heart of Gold and would help anyone. We've traveled the dangerous highways and help other stranded people along the way. We've prayed together and we cried and did we laughed..Because Jackie was a jokester. I have known you for 5 years and it was blessing to have met you. I will always cherish the days you, Ms. Deborah and myself use to sit outside and talk. I remember the last time we talked you kept calling me Wanda lol. You will forever be missed Ms. Jackie get your rest my baby you. Cshanti you and the family are in my prayers.

Jackie was wonderful person. She loves to sing and worship the Lord. Praying for family
that God continues to comfort your. May your look to each others for strength. The Lord will wipe all your tears and heal the pain.
