Not sure what to say?

I worked with Jim for many years at The Courier-Express. He was a pro, a guy who chased stories, old school, and produced good stuff on deadline. We miss reporters who could do the job, day after day. Mike Desmond

Sending my condolences to your family. May prayer be a great comfort to you during this time 1 Thessalonians 5:17

My desk was beside Jim's for probably my last 10 years at The Herald and it was a treat.
The man was a true professional while at the same time he was truly hilarious.
The desks in that bullpen area were always full with staff members on a Thursday when "The Bakes" was tuning up his weekend column, making calls to this famous broadcaster or that well-known network executive and squeezing the truth out of them. We would be high-fiving each other as he bent someone...

Barb and Family - it's with profound sadness that we offer our sincere condolences to you all. Jim was a unique human being with a wonderful intellect and sense of humor. We will always remember his smile, laughter, love and dedication to his family and are proud to have known him as a good man, a kind and gentle man and our step-brother.

Heart and prayers go out to you and your family at this time and the days ahead. Psalm 20:1, 2. You have my deepest condolences.

Dearest Barb and Family. So hard to imagine that we won't hear Jim's little chuckle again. We always remember how he carried photos of his grandchildren in his shirt pocket and always wanted us to see the latest photos. Also who among us could ever forget the trip to the African Lion Safari on a rainy day, with sick kids in the back seat and muddy monkey feet all over the car! We had great times together for years. Our prayers are with you all. Much love and continuous prayers
