A great salesman and a good friend!

What an extraordinary coincidence to be receiving this reminder as I sit at the airport waiting for my flight to go back to Princeton University for my 50th reunion. Jim was an incredibly thoughtful and kind man. He supported my early candidacy to join IBM. I remain forever grateful.

To the family of Jim Balassone: I remain very grateful for his kindness and support. I met him at Princeton University in 1977. He was presenting about the employment prospects at IBM. He supported my candidacy throughout and my five years of IBM was a real turning point in my young career. I have thought of him often... i have many happy memories of jim at the pool watching water polo. my heart goes out to his wonderful family.
